7 Best Pipedrive Alternatives in 2025
Learn what sales CRMs are better for SMBs
If you’re searching for a Pipedrive alternative, you’re in the right place.
You likely appreciate Pipedrive’s focus on a simple, visual sales pipeline but feel that something is missing. Perhaps you’re looking for more powerful automation, better integrations with your inbox, or a more transparent pricing model without so many price increases and paid add-ons.
Whatever your reason, the good news is that the CRM market is full of excellent options that build on Pipedrive’s foundation, offering more modern features to help you sell more, with less work.
In this guide, I’ll explore the 7 best Pipedrive alternatives for small and medium-sized businesses. I’ll compare them based on a core set of sales-boosting features, G2 review scores, and pricing, so you can make an informed decision and find the perfect sales CRM for your team.
Let’s dig in! 👇
What is a Pipedrive alternative?
Before we get started, let’s align on what a Pipedrive alternative is:
A Pipedrive alternative is essentially a sales CRM designed specifically for the needs of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
Like Pipedrive itself, these CRM tools are built around sales tracking, often featuring a visual pipeline to manage deals.
The key idea is simplicity; these CRMs avoid the complexity of enterprise-level systems, focusing instead on providing a straightforward, easy-to-use solution for sales teams to manage their leads and close deals more effectively.
Why look for a Pipedrive alternative?
While Pipedrive is a classic sales CRM for SMBs and has been a popular choice for years, many users start looking for an alternative for a few key reasons:
- It has grown a bit stale. While Pipedrive pioneered the visual pipeline for SMBs, its core functionality hasn’t evolved as quickly as its competitors. Newer CRMs often offer more advanced and intelligent automation features that Pipedrive lacks, requiring more manual work from your sales team.
- It has a weak integration with Gmail, Outlook & LinkedIn. For a modern sales team, the CRM needs to work seamlessly where the team works: their inbox. Pipedrive’s integrations with Gmail and Outlook are relatively basic, and it lacks a strong, native LinkedIn integration, forcing reps to switch tabs and manually copy-paste data constantly.
- The pricing has increased dramatically and relies on add-ons. Pipedrive’s pricing has become steeper and more complex over the years, especially lately. Many features that are standard in other CRMs, such as advanced reporting or workflow automation, are now sold as separate, costly add-ons. This can make the total cost of ownership much higher than the advertised price.
All in all, there are a lot of good reasons to explore the alternatives.
Ranking Pipedrive alternatives: our methodology
If you’re looking for good CRM software to manage your sales leads, the above set of features can significantly boost your success rate and up your productivity.
To compile this ranking, I went through a list of around 800 possible CRMs to make a pre-selection. Then I tested every one of the 7 selected Pipedrive alternatives first hand and researched which of them offer which features and detailed this for you below.
Next to this, it is important to keep the bigger picture in mind when comparing software, because you need to make sure your team will actually use the system as well. Getting a CRM that the sales team doesn’t use is pretty useless 😏
Because of that, I’ve included the current scoring for each software on G2 so you get a better idea of how they stack up. It’s broken down as follows:
- Ease of Use
- Ease of Setup
- Meets Requirements
- Quality of Support
- Ease of Doing Business With
- Ease of Admin
I’ve then taken the average of the G2 review score, and combined it with the sales CRM feature score, to calculate… the final score! 🥇

1. Salesflare: best CRM for B2B sales [9.8/10] 🏆

If I ask our customers what they’re essentially using Salesflare for, the answer is usually: to better follow up our leads.
Our goal at Salesflare is to make following up leads super easy for you, without you having to input data to keep the system alive. And with a ton of built-in automation to make you more productive.
Salesflare (founded in 2014) is used by thousands of small and medium-sized businesses who sell to other businesses (incl. agencies, consultancies, development houses, tech companies, …). It’s top ranked across review platforms and is the #1 CRM software on Product Hunt, the leading community for product enthusiasts.
It’s very tightly integrated with Gmail (also within Google Workspace) and Outlook, so you don’t need to switch between your inbox and sales software while tracking leads. Plus it adds some handy features like integrated email and website tracking, email templates, and email sequences.
“For the last 4+ years, our entire sales team has been using Salesflare – such an awesome productivity multiplier tool for your whole staff! We have tried multiple tools in this time like Pipedrive, Freshsales, and more but nothing compares to how easy it is with Salesflare!” says Mayank P., CEO of an IT consultancy, in a review.
Testing it out
If you’re looking for a Pipedrive alternative that focuses on automation and ease of use, Salesflare feels like a direct upgrade.
While Pipedrive gives you a clean pipeline, Salesflare takes it a step further by automating almost all of the data entry. Connecting your email and calendar is simple, and the system immediately starts enriching contact profiles, logging your emails and meetings, and tracking email opens and link clicks automatically. This is a huge time-saver compared to Pipedrive, where much of this data still needs to be logged manually or relies on clunky integrations.
The sidebar in Gmail and Outlook is also more powerful, allowing you to manage your whole sales process without leaving your inbox, which is a big step up from Pipedrive’s more limited sidebar functionality.

2. HubSpot CRM + Sales Hub: best for sales & marketing [8.3/10]

HubSpot is a marketing automation platform turned everything platform. It was founded in 2005 to make marketing automation easier.
Nowadays, HubSpot’s main selling point is offering an all-in-one solution, including marketing, sales, service and operations. If you don’t like using different apps and integrating them (using tools like Zapier and native integrations), then HubSpot might be what you’re looking for.
To get functionality that is comparable to what you’re getting with the other sales CRM software in this ranking, you need to get two HubSpot products: its CRM and its Sales Hub.
Testing it out
For those who feel they’re outgrowing Pipedrive’s sales-only focus, HubSpot CRM presents an all-in-one platform alternative.
The main difference you’ll notice is the sheer scope; HubSpot integrates marketing and service hubs seamlessly with its sales tools. While Pipedrive is a dedicated sales tool, HubSpot aims to give you a single view of the entire customer lifecycle. This is powerful if your sales and marketing teams are tightly aligned.
However, this breadth comes with complexity. Compared to Pipedrive’s straightforward setup, HubSpot can feel overwhelming. Plus the UX is a lot heavier.
“I previously used Pipedrive and you could add a new company, contact, deal etc from any part of the system. With hubspot I can only add a new company by navigating to the specific page that permits it.” says Nigel W., Technical Manager of an industrial company, in his review.
Also, many of the advanced sales features you’d expect are locked behind its expensive Sales Hub Professional plan and a hefty onboarding fee, making it a much larger financial commitment.
Scoring
Features HubSpot CRM + Sales Hub offers: 8/10
- Visualize your leads in multiple drag-and-drop pipelines
- Send automated email sequences until leads reply
- Automatically enrich leads from both publicly available info and email signatures
- Track the source (and lost reason) of your leads and analyze it
- Track leads with integrated email & website tracking
- Digitize business leads with a built-in business card scanner
- Use email templates within your Gmail inbox to manage leads more productively
- Manage your leads fully from your inbox with a handy email sidebar
Features HubSpot CRM + Sales Hub doesn’t offer:
- Get reminded to follow-up automatically when leads go inactive
- Get a live overview of what your leads are doing in an in-app notification center
G2 review scoring:
- Ease of Use: 8.6
- Ease of Setup: 8.3
- Meets Requirements: 8.5
- Quality of Support: 8.5
- Ease of Doing Business With: 8.7
- Ease of Admin: 8.6
Final result:
- Pipedrive alternative feature score: 8/10
- Average G2 review score: 8.5/10
- FINAL SCORE: 8.3/10
Pricing
Pricing to get all of the above (8 of 10 features) on the HubSpot Sales Hub Professional plan:
- $90/seat/month (billed annually)
- $100/seat/month (billed monthly, but with annual commitment)
- + an extra required fee of $1500 for onboarding
HubSpot offers a free trial of 14 to 30 days.
3. Pipeliner CRM: best for sales management [7.2/10]

Pipeliner CRM (formerly Pipelinersales) is a software company founded in 2009 with the goal of building better software for salespeople.
Although Pipeliner is not as focused on people who want to follow up their leads in a better way, I decided to include them in this comparison because of their clear dedication to sales CRM software.
The software is relatively feature rich compared to the other platforms in this comparison, although also a little dated and not too easy to use.
Pipeliner’s pricing rises quite steeply as you need more functionality, which probably makes it a better fit for mid-sized companies with deep pockets.
Testing it out
Pipeliner CRM offers a similarly visual approach to sales pipelines as Pipedrive, which will feel familiar. The drag-and-drop interface is a core feature for both.
However, Pipeliner feels geared more towards sales management with its extensive reporting and analytics features. If you’re looking for a Pipedrive alternative because you need more robust forecasting and performance tracking, Pipeliner is worth a look.
On the downside, the user interface feels more dated and cluttered than Pipedrive’s clean design. It also lacks some of the modern automation features like email sequences or automatic reminders for inactive leads, which means it doesn’t solve some of the core manual work issues you might be trying to escape from.
Scoring
Features Pipeliner CRM offers: 5/10
- Visualize your leads in multiple drag-and-drop pipelines
- Track the source (and lost reason) of your leads and analyze it
- Get a live overview of what your leads are doing in an in-app notification center
- Digitize business leads with a built-in business card scanner
- Manage your leads fully from your inbox with a handy email sidebar
Features Pipeliner CRM doesn’t offer:
- Send automated email sequences until leads reply
- Automatically enrich leads from both publicly available info and email signatures
- Get reminded to follow-up automatically when leads go inactive
- Track leads with integrated email & website tracking
- Use email templates within your Gmail inbox to manage leads more productively
G2 review scoring:
- Ease of Use: 9.4
- Ease of Setup: 9.2
- Meets Requirements: 9.3
- Quality of Support: 9.3
- Ease of Doing Business With: 9.4
- Ease of Admin: 9.3
Final result:
- Pipedrive alternative feature score: 5/10
- Average G2 review score: 9.3/10
- FINAL SCORE: 7.2/10
Pricing
Pricing to get all of the above (5 of 10 features) on the Pipeliner Business plan:
- $85/user/month (only billed annually)
- $100/user/month (only billed monthly)
Pipeliner offers a free trial of 14 days.
4. Freshworks CRM: best for feature depth [7.0/10]
Freshworks CRM (formerly known as Freshsales) is a sales CRM from Freshworks, the company behind / initially called Freshdesk. Freshworks was founded in 2010 to provide a better, cheaper solution for customer service teams.
Freshworks’ main selling point is its feature depth. It has also managed to offer this range of functionality through an easier to use interface than its competitor/predecessor from the same city, Zoho.
What makes Freshworks strong is also its weakness: the interface is full of so many little buttons that common side-effects of using the platform include a mild headache, fatigue and dizziness. 😅
Testing it out
Compared to Pipedrive’s straightforward approach, Freshworks CRM is packed with features. If you’re looking for an alternative because you feel Pipedrive is too basic, Freshworks delivers a vast toolkit, including email sequences, multiple pipelines, and a live activity overview.
This depth is great if you need it, but it can feel cluttered. While Pipedrive is known for its simplicity, Freshworks has a much steeper learning curve due to the sheer number of buttons and options on screen.
It’s a powerful tool but lacks some of the slick automation of other modern CRMs, like automatic contact enrichment from email signatures.
It’s a trade-off: more features, but also more complexity.
Scoring
Features Freshworks CRM offers: 5/10
- Visualize your leads in multiple drag-and-drop pipelines
- Send automated email sequences until leads reply
- Track the source (and lost reason) of your leads and analyze it
- Get a live overview of what your leads are doing in an in-app notification center
- Manage your leads fully from your inbox with a handy email sidebar
Features Freshworks CRM doesn’t offer:
- Automatically enrich leads from both publicly available info and email signatures
- Get reminded to follow-up automatically when leads go inactive
- Track leads with integrated email & website tracking
- Digitize business leads with a built-in business card scanner
- Use email templates within your Gmail inbox to manage leads more productively
G2 review scoring:
- Ease of Use: 9.1
- Ease of Setup: 8.9
- Meets Requirements: 8.9
- Quality of Support: 9.0
- Ease of Doing Business With: 9.1
- Ease of Admin: 9.4
Final result:
- Pipedrive alternative feature score: 5/10
- Average G2 review score: 9.0/10
- FINAL SCORE: 7.0/10
Pricing
Pricing to get all of the above (5 of 10 features) on Freshsales Enterprise plan*:
- $59/user/month (billed annually)
- $71/user/month (billed monthly)
* Sequences with stricter limits also available on Pro plan. Freshworks CRM offers a free trial of 21 days.
5. Close: best for cold calling [7.0/10]

Close is a sales CRM company that grew from an outbound sales agency that specialized in outbound calling. This history is still clear when you try Close today, as it’s more heavily focused than the other CRMs in this list on calling features like a power dialer and a predictive dialer.
The software works a little differently than most, as it doesn’t have “companies” as a concept and you need to create “opportunities” linked to “leads” instead. But once you get used to how it works, it’s relatively straightforward.
So, if calling a list of cold leads is what you do on a daily basis, this sales CRM might very well be what you’re looking for.
Testing it out
If your sales process is less about managing inbound deals in a pipeline and more about high-volume outbound outreach, Close is a strong Pipedrive alternative.
While Pipedrive is a general-purpose sales CRM, Close is purpose-built for sales teams that live on the phone. Its built-in power dialer and calling features are far superior to anything Pipedrive offers. It also includes solid email automation sequences.
The trade-off is that it’s less flexible for managing long-term deals and lacks features like automatic lead enrichment or website tracking. It’s a specialized tool that excels at its core function: enabling rapid outreach.
Scoring
Features Close offers: 5/10
- Visualize your leads in multiple drag-and-drop pipelines
- Send automated email sequences until leads reply
- Track the source (and lost reason) of your leads and analyze it
- Manage your leads fully from your inbox with a handy email sidebar
- Get reminded to follow-up automatically when leads go inactive
Features Close doesn’t offer:
- Automatically enrich leads from both publicly available info and email signatures
- Track leads with integrated email & website tracking
- Get a live overview of what your leads are doing in an in-app notification center
- Digitize business leads with a built-in business card scanner
- Use email templates within your Gmail inbox to manage leads more productively

- Ease of Use: 9.1
- Ease of Setup: 8.9
- Meets Requirements: 8.8
- Quality of Support: 9.2
- Ease of Doing Business With: 9.3
- Ease of Admin: 9.0
Final result:
- Pipedrive alternative feature score: 5/10
- Average G2 review score: 9.05/10
- FINAL SCORE: 7.0/10
Pricing
Pricing to get all of the above (5 of 10 features) on the Close Professional plan:
- $99/user/month (billed annually)
- $109/user/month (billed monthly)
Close offers a free trial of 14 days.
6. Salesforce Sales Cloud: best for large enterprises [6.1/10]

Salesforce is by far the biggest CRM company in the world, controlling about 24% of the market in 2025. It was founded in 1999 in California by an ex-Oracle executive.
Salesforce offers a huge platform to enterprises that basically consists of a set of building blocks with which you can build anything, gives the possibility to customize everything, and the promise to connect to whatever other software you’re using.
A Salesforce implementation typically requires a consulting company to map the business needs and workflow, build all this in Salesforce, connect with other software, train the employees and follow up with additional changes afterwards.
Testing it out
If your business has scaled to a point where Pipedrive’s simplicity becomes a limitation, Salesforce is the enterprise-grade alternative.
It’s a different beast entirely, trading Pipedrive’s ease of use for near-limitless customization and power. You can build any report, workflow, or integration imaginable.
However, this flexibility comes at a huge cost in both money and complexity. Setting up Salesforce is a major project, often requiring dedicated administrators or consultants, whereas you can get Pipedrive up and running in an afternoon.
For a small business looking for a simple Pipedrive alternative, Salesforce is overkill, but for a fast-growing company that needs a platform to build on for the next decade, it’s the market leader.
Scoring
Features Salesforce Sales Cloud offers: 4/10
- Visualize your leads in multiple drag-and-drop pipelines
- Track the source (and lost reason) of your leads and analyze it
- Manage your leads fully from your inbox with a handy email sidebar
- Use email templates within your Gmail inbox to manage leads more productively
Features Salesforce Sales Cloud doesn’t offer:
- Send automated email sequences until leads reply
- Automatically enrich leads from both publicly available info and email signatures
- Get reminded to follow-up automatically when leads go inactive
- Track leads with integrated email & website tracking
- Get a live overview of what your leads are doing in an in-app notification center
- Digitize business leads with a built-in business card scanner
G2 review scoring:
- Ease of Use: 8.1
- Ease of Setup: 7.5
- Meets Requirements: 8.8
- Quality of Support: 8.2
- Ease of Doing Business With: 8.3
- Ease of Admin: 8.0
Final result:
- Pipedrive alternative feature score: 4/10
- Average G2 review score: 8.2/10
- FINAL SCORE: 6.1/10
Pricing
Pricing to get all of the above (4 of 10 features) on the Salesforce Sales Cloud Pro Suite plan:
- $100/user/month (only billed annually)
Salesforce offers a free trial of 30 days.
7. Zoho CRM: best for all-in one business software [5.9/10]

Zoho is a true household name in the CRM industry, so I couldn’t omit them from this ranking. Zoho launched its small business CRM product in 2005 and has historically been positioning itself as a cheaper alternative to Salesforce.
That is immediately its main selling point. If you’re looking for a CRM solution, Zoho has many tiers (and products even: Zoho CRM, Zoho CRM Plus, Zoho One, …).
Most of the four features below come on Zoho CRM’s Professional plan, which offers the lowest pricing of the platforms in this comparison.
Testing it out
For businesses looking for a Pipedrive alternative primarily on a budget, Zoho CRM stands out. It offers a broad range of features for a very competitive price, making it an attractive option for startups and small businesses.
Unlike Pipedrive, which is a focused sales tool, Zoho CRM is part of a much larger ecosystem of business apps (Zoho One). This can be a huge plus if you’re looking to run your entire business on one platform.
However, the user experience can feel less polished and intuitive than Pipedrive’s. While it’s powerful for the price, navigating the interface and setting up automations can be more cumbersome, and it lacks the advanced, AI-driven automation found in more modern competitors.
Scoring
Features Zoho CRM offers: 4/10
- Visualize your leads in multiple drag-and-drop pipelines
- Track the source (and lost reason) of your leads and analyze it
- Digitize business leads with a built-in business card scanner
- Manage your leads fully from your inbox with a handy email sidebar
Features Zoho CRM doesn’t offer:
- Send automated email sequences until leads reply
- Automatically enrich leads from both publicly available info and email signatures
- Get reminded to follow-up automatically when leads go inactive
- Track leads with integrated email & website tracking
- Get a live overview of what your leads are doing in an in-app notification center
- Use email templates within your Gmail inbox to manage leads more productively
G2 review scoring:
- Ease of Use: 8.1
- Ease of Setup: 7.6
- Meets Requirements: 8.2
- Quality of Support: 7.4
- Ease of Doing Business With: 7.9
- Ease of Admin: 7.8
Final result:
- Pipedrive alternative feature score: 4/10
- Average G2 review score: 7.8/10
- FINAL SCORE: 5.9/10
Pricing
Pricing to get all of the above (4 of 10 features) on Zoho CRM Professional plan:
- $23/user/month (billed annually)
- $35/user/month (billed monthly)
- +20% if you want to get “Premium support” (i.e. comparable support to what you get in other places)
Zoho CRM offers a free trial of 15 days.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a free version of Pipedrive?
No, Pipedrive does not offer a free-forever plan for its CRM software. It does, however, provide a 14-day free trial for new users to test out its features before committing to a paid plan.
Is HubSpot better than Pipedrive?
“Better” depends on your needs. HubSpot is an all-in-one platform that combines marketing, sales, and service tools, making it better for companies that want a single integrated solution for their entire customer lifecycle. Pipedrive is a more focused, and arguably simpler, sales CRM dedicated to pipeline management. If you only need a tool for your sales team, Pipedrive is easier to set up and use. If you need tight marketing and sales alignment, HubSpot is the more powerful choice.
What is the open source alternative to Pipedrive?
There are several open-source alternatives to Pipedrive, though they often require more technical expertise to set up and maintain. Popular options include SuiteCRM, Odoo, and EspoCRM. These platforms offer extensive customization but require you to manage the hosting and updates yourself. They are also not very user friendly.
Which CRM is best for small business?
While the “best” CRM depends on specific needs, Salesflare is designed from the ground up for small B2B sales teams who need to save time and sell more. Its deep automation and ease of use make it a top contender. Other popular choices include HubSpot for its free plan and all-in-one capabilities, and Zoho CRM for its affordability and extensive feature set.
How much is Pipedrive per month?
Pipedrive’s pricing varies by tier. As of 2025, plans typically start at around $14 per user/month (billed annually) for the Essential plan and go up to $99 per user/month for the Enterprise plan. However, be aware that many advanced features, like workflow automation and reporting, may require higher-tier plans or separate paid add-ons, increasing the total cost.
That’s all I have for the 7 best Pipedrive alternatives!
