If you’re looking for a CRM solution, Zoho has many tiers and products.
Its main selling point is its affordability, but the user experience is generally lacking.

When I tried Zoho on my Mac, the first thing I noticed was its complexity. The user experience felt a little dated and clunky, which can be jarring for someone used to the slickness of other Mac apps.
The value proposition is strong: you get a lot of features for a low price.
However, I found that navigating the system and setting up workflows was not very intuitive. It works on a Mac, but it doesn’t feel like it belongs there.
It’s a budget-friendly option for those who prioritize features over a seamless user experience.

It offers a huge platform to enterprises that basically consists of a set of building blocks with which you can build anything.
A Salesforce implementation typically requires a consulting company to map business needs and build the system.
While the software is not a great match for small and medium-sized businesses, no comparison is complete without mentioning the market leader.

Running Salesforce on my Mac felt like using a powerful but very foreign piece of software.
Of course, it works in the browser, but it doesn’t share any of the design DNA or simplicity of macOS.
The platform is built for extreme customization and enterprise-level needs, and I found the interface to be complex and overwhelming. For a small business Mac user looking for an intuitive tool, this is the opposite direction.
While Salesforce has a functional and highly-rated iPhone app, the core platform feels like it was designed for a corporate IT department, not for an individual who values elegance and ease of use.

To get full sales functionality, you need two HubSpot products: its free CRM and its paid Sales Hub.
This makes the pricing quite steep, starting at $100/user/month plus a required onboarding fee.

As a powerful web-based platform, HubSpot works reliably in Chrome on a Mac, and I found the user experience to be smooth and consistent. The design is clean, and for users who are already bought into the all-in-one marketing and sales suite, it’s a solid choice.
However, it doesn’t feel like a Mac-native product. I noticed a lack of deep integration with Apple’s own apps like Apple Mail and Apple Calendar, pushing you towards the Google or Microsoft ecosystems.
The iPhone app is full-featured and works well, but the overall system feels more like a cross-platform tool rather than one designed with the Mac user in mind.

Testing Pipedrive on my Mac, I appreciated its clean, simple UI, which is a big plus for any Mac user who values minimalism. It runs smoothly in a web browser like Chrome or Safari, and its core feature – the visual sales pipeline – is intuitive and easy to manage.
However, the experience started to feel less integrated when I looked at the broader Apple ecosystem. While it syncs with Google and Microsoft calendars, the Apple Calendar integration is less direct.
More importantly, I found its iPhone app to be less polished and more limited than its competitors, which is a significant drawback for anyone who relies on their phone for work on the go.
