Its self-defined target market (which you can find on its website) is relatively broad, including travel agencies, law firms, automotive companies and many more industries. It does not appear to be particularly focused on any type of company.<\/span><\/p>\n
It works entirely inside Gmail, but can also be opened in a separate tab. Its UI follows Google Material design, so it feels familiar to Gmail users, although it does seem based on a relatively old version of Material design and feels a little stale lately.<\/span><\/p>\n
Based on G2 reviews and scores, its most valued feature is its email tracking, which aligns with its initial focus on being a Gmail CRM. Nowadays, however, the company has a new focus on \u201cunifying all customer conversations in one place\u201d and whether that is working out is not clear yet from recent reviews.<\/span><\/p>\n
Testing it out<\/h4>\n
NetHunt is one of the few CRMs where the \u201cworks inside Gmail\u201d claim is not marketing fluff. After installing it, I could open an email thread and turn the sender into a contact and company record quickly, without leaving my inbox. The CRM panel sits next to Gmail and lets you update fields, attach emails to records, and navigate your pipeline without constantly context-switching to a separate app. That Gmail-native flow is the point, and it\u2019s convenient.<\/span><\/p>\n
The main thing I tested next was what NetHunt is best known for: email tracking and follow-ups. Open and click tracking worked as expected, and it\u2019s easy to use in the same place where you\u2019re already writing emails. You can also build sequences and automate some follow-up logic, which makes NetHunt feel more like a full CRM than a glorified tracker. The tradeoff is that the experience feels a bit dated visually, and once you move beyond the Gmail panel into heavier CRM work (configuration, workflows, broader \u201cunified conversations\u201d setup), it starts feeling more like a traditional CRM bolted onto Gmail than something truly seamless. Note also that sequences immediately set you back on the Business plan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Its target industries are relatively similar to Salesflare\u2019s, additionally serving real estate clients, as the software is not focused on B2B sales<\/a>. This allows the company to reach a larger target audience, but inevitably also makes using it a little less straightforward for its B2B users.<\/p>\n
When objectively comparing scores, the main differences are a more difficult set-up, lower quality support, and the absence of two Gmail productivity features. Also, the pricing to get all below functionality (8 features) is more than double.<\/p>\n
Testing it out<\/h4>\n
When I tested Copper, the integration with Google Workspace stood out. Setting it up was straightforward, and I appreciated the ease of use within the Gmail interface. The automatic syncing of emails and calendar events into the CRM streamlined my workflow significantly.<\/p>\n
Copper\u2019s ability to auto-create contacts from email interactions saved a lot of time, though I found the contact enrichment features lacking compared to other CRMs. The email tracking was useful, showing opens and link clicks, but it didn\u2019t offer the depth of insights I was hoping for.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, HubSpot\u2019s main selling point is offering an all-in-one solution, including marketing, sales, service and operations. If you don\u2019t like using different apps and integrating them (using tools like Zapier and native integrations), then HubSpot might be what you\u2019re looking for.<\/p>\n
To get CRM functionality<\/a> that is comparable to what you\u2019re getting with the other CRMs in this ranking, you need to get two HubSpot products: its CRM and its Sales Hub.<\/p>\n
In terms of Google Workspace integration, HubSpot does a fair job, although the pricing to get all this handy functionality (7 features) is quite steep, starting at $90\/user\/month billed annually (plus $1470 for onboarding).<\/p>\n

Testing HubSpot was an interesting experience, especially given its reputation as an all-in-one platform. The integration with Google Workspace was smooth, allowing me to update the CRM directly from my inbox. The live sync feature ensured my emails and calendar events were always up to date.<\/p>\n
However, while HubSpot offered robust email tracking and the ability to send automated sequences, I missed the auto-create contact feature and the in-depth relationship strength insights. The platform felt comprehensive but a bit overwhelming due to its extensive features, making it less intuitive than some other CRMs.<\/p>\n

Compared to the other CRMs in this list, Streak has historically focused very much on solo users, which is epitomized by its popular free plan without collaboration functionality (and its affordable \u201cSolo\u201d plan upgrade).<\/p>\n
Streak runs entirely within the Gmail interface and that\u2019s where it\u2019s strongest. It has no dedicated web application and its mobile apps are a bit limited (getting 2.5 and 3 stars in the App Store and on Google Play).<\/p>\n
Still, if you\u2019re a single user and don\u2019t use your CRM on your phone, Streak can be a simple and strong solution to start tracking your leads.<\/p>\n
Do note that to get all the 6 below features, you need to get on its Pro plan for teams, which will set you back $59\/user\/month (billed monthly).<\/p>\n
Testing it out<\/h4>\n
Streak\u2019s integration with Google Workspace was seamless, fitting perfectly into my existing workflow. Since it runs entirely within the Gmail interface, I didn\u2019t need to switch between different tabs or apps, which was a significant time saver.<\/p>\n
Setting up Streak was quick, and its email tracking feature worked well, providing insights into opens and link clicks. The collaborative features did seem built rather as an afterthought. The lack of mobile app functionality was also a downside, but for desktop use within Gmail, Streak was highly efficient.<\/p>\n

Freshworks\u2019 main selling point is its feature depth. It has also managed to offer this range of functionality through an easier to use interface than its competitor\/predecessor from the same city, Zoho.<\/p>\n
While its Gmail integration is not as deep as with better performing CRMs in this ranking, it still deserves a mention in this ranking due to its relatively popular Gmail add-on.<\/p>\n
\u201c[I like that it] allows me and my team to send a lot of emails drafted on the personalized pattern, timetable those and sync them with my calendars, and concern them automatically to our contact records to export all pertinent info. Testing it out<\/h4>\n
Freshworks CRM presented a clean and user-friendly interface during my test. The integration with Google Workspace was decent, allowing me to sync emails and calendar events efficiently. The email tracking feature was helpful, showing opens and clicks right from the inbox.<\/p>\n
However, I found Freshworks lacking in auto-creating contacts and enriching the contact database from email signatures. While it did support email sequences, the overall depth of Google Workspace integration was less impressive compared to other CRMs.<\/p>\n
