Plut\u00f4t que de se contenter de promouvoir un produit existant, le vendeur se concentre sur le(s) probl\u00e8me(s) du client et le(s) r\u00e9sout(nt) avec ses offres (produits et services). La r\u00e9solution de la douleur est ce qui constitue une \"solution\". Keith M. Eades, auteur de The New Solution Selling, d\u00e9finit une solution comme suit : Quelle est la d\u00e9finition du mot \"solution\" ? La r\u00e9ponse habituelle est : \"Une r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 un probl\u00e8me\". Je suis d'accord avec cette r\u00e9ponse, mais je pense qu'il est important d'\u00e9largir la d\u00e9finition. Non seulement le probl\u00e8me doit \u00eatre reconnu par l'acheteur, mais l'acheteur et le vendeur doivent \u00e9galement \u00eatre d'accord sur la r\u00e9ponse. Une solution est donc une r\u00e9ponse mutuellement convenue \u00e0 un probl\u00e8me reconnu. En outre, une solution doit \u00e9galement apporter une am\u00e9lioration mesurable. Par am\u00e9lioration mesurable, j'entends qu'il y a un avant et peut-\u00eatre un apr\u00e8s.
